SANDY, UTAH - HeroDevs today announced its strategic partnership with Perforce Software to offer Zend PHP Long-Term Support (LTS) within HeroDevs’ Drupal 7 Never-Ending Support (NES) product – giving HeroDevs customers the flexibility to maintain security, compliance, and stability on their applications until they can migrate to a community-supported version of Drupal.
Drupal 7, which is set to reach end of life on January 5 2025, is the most-used version of the popular open source web content management system, with an estimated 300,000+ active websites and applications currently using Drupal 7 versions for a variety of mission-critical use cases. Due to the complexity of upgrading Drupal 7 sites, many companies are expected to continue running Drupal 7 beyond the community support end of life date – exposing them to potentially dangerous vulnerabilities and damaging exploits.
HeroDevs’ Drupal 7 NES, which is the only Drupal-certified extended support offering for Drupal, includes fixes for discovered compatibility issues within key modules, as well as patches for discovered CVEs within the Drupal 7 code base. And, with the addition of Zend PHP LTS, HeroDevs’ Drupal 7 NES will also include patches for CVEs discovered in the PHP runtimes used within Drupal 7.
